I have a single rat and they really need to get him a friend, Can I get one from your next available litter?
Unfortunately I am no longer able to place people on a priority list as this influx has pushed adopters who have previously been waiting farther back then I would have liked. I want my system to be fair to everyone taking their time to fill out applications and ask questions and waiting very patiently for their babies to be born.
Do you have any rats available now?
Please check out my available page, if I don't have any posted there I most likely do not have any rats currently available.
Where are you located?
Where can I find your adoption application?
When will you have rats available?
You can visit my Planned Liters page, I usually have several months of breeding planned ahead, and ready dates posted there. Sometimes this can change depending on if a current litter is fully reserved or not. You can also view my Available page and see any rats I may currently have.
Can I adopt a rat by itself?
To be eligible to adopt you must either own one same sex or spayed/neutered cage mate, or be adopting a same sex pair. Rats cannot live alone.
How much do you charge for a rat?
You can view my price list here.
Where do you get your rats from?
Most of my rats are now from breeders across the US and Canada. including Little Paws Rattery, Squeaks and Nibbles, Atlantis Rattery and Rambling Rats Rattery, However my initial line is from local breeders.
Can I breed your rats?
My rats are to be PET only animals and may not be used for breeding.
My rat is sick what should I do?
Please consult your vet first, check out The Rats Guide for more information if you can't make it to your vet.
I want to adopt but don't want to/ can't fill out an application?
If you cannot fill out an application due to lack of computer or internet accesses I am happy and willing to work with you to find a solution. My application is mandatory for all adopters so you must fill one out to adopt.
Can I fill out an application for a future litter?
Yes! If you want a specific type of rat I definitely encourage you to fill out an application to reserve the baby you want! Once a litter is born I will announce it on Facebook, when I know sexes I will contact adopters via their preferred method of communication.
When can I choose the rat I want from the litter?
I usually let adopters choose on or around 2 weeks of age. The rat you get will depend on your spot in line, this is based off when I get the application and not when you contact me.
